PARENTING

Parenting

Wait a minute, you! Don't walk away from me!

Did you tell the principal my kid's a bully? Was that you? That he's been pushing your poor little darling around? Huh?

Where do you come off? What's the matter with you? Do you get off on causing trouble?

Don't you think you should think about that? Huh? Don't you think you should really, really think about that?

Look. They're kids. They do things. That's the way kids are. But they can handle it. They can work it out. If they've got any backbone, that is. If they don't expect Mommy and Daddy to come running every time they get a boo-boo.

What kind of kid are you raising anyway? What kind of parent are you? Aren't you ashamed? Raising a kid who can't stand up for himself. Raising a kid who's afraid of a fight.

Look, you want to bring up a wimpy little kid who can't even handle his own business, who can't give it as well as he can take it, who just bends over and takes it until he can run home crying, well, that's your business. That's just fine with me.

I'm not going to tell you how to raise your kid. But get this straight: nobody, not you or anyone else, nobody's going to tell me how to raise mine.
